PRLONLINE is the latest addition to the design project of Primera Revista Latinoamericana de Libros. PRL, which launched in the fall of 2007, is a Spanish-language periodical on litterature, culture, and current affairs -- the first publication of its kind within its regional readership. Published by Midoeditores in New York, PRL is distributed across the United States and Latin America.

Lacava Design was instrumental in designing the print edition, the website, and the downloadable compact format.

It was important to the editors that the publication stood out from other visually uninspiring intellectual journals. The editors were looking for an authoritative and understated look that would be appropriate to the tone of the content, that also promised to be both complex and provocative.
